
About NIT Trichy
Located in the center of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the Cauvery River, the National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli was established in 1964 as a joint venture between the Governments of Tamil Nadu and India with the goal of meeting the nation’s demand for technological labor.
In order to achieve rapid development, the College has since been granted autonomy in financial and administrative matters. Owing to its wealth of experience, this institution was renamed NIT and awarded Deemed University Status in 2003 with the approval of the Government of India, the All India Council for Technical Education, and the University Grants Commission.

Applications for an internship at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering under the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) of the SERB project (CRG/2021/005521) are being accepted from third- and final-year B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering students from a variety of institutions.
One of India’s top institutions, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is renowned for its excellent standards in both teaching and research. It provides 23 postgraduate and 10 undergraduate programs in management, science, engineering, and architecture. The Indian government has designated it as an Institute of National Importance in accordance with the NIT Act.
From 2016 to 2022, NIT Trichy was the top-ranked NIT according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). In 2023, the institute was ranked 21st overall, 4th for architecture, 9th for engineering, 35th for management, and 22nd for research among Indian academic institutions by NIRF.
Title of Project: Creation of a Novel Control Algorithm and Lightweight Flywheel through 3D Printing of Metal for Micro-Grid Energy Storage Uses.
Qualifications
Essential Qualification: A strong academic background and current pursuit of a third and final year B.Tech. (EEE) are required.
Power electronics, MATLAB simulation, and microcontroller/FPGA programming knowledge are desirable.

Stipend: Rs. 5,000 per month for an internship
Duration: Just two months, from May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024.
