Regarding the Student Research Internship at Google
Research students have more opportunities to work on important research projects at Google in an unstructured manner through the Student Researcher Program. With options for on-site or remote work, the program offers opportunities that go beyond the constraints of a traditional internship program in terms of duration, time commitment, and working location. Qualifications for Student Research Internship Eligibility
- actively pursuing a degree in computer science, linguistics, statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, operations research, economics, or the natural sciences at the bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral level.
- knowledge in one of the following areas of computer science: machine intelligence/artificial intelligence, natural language understanding, computer vision, neural networks, machine learning, deep learning, algorithmic foundations, or data science.
- Ideal qualifications:
- returning to her full-time degree program after her internship is over. Currently enrolled in the program.
- Research experience (such as full-time, internship, or lab work).
- experience participating in research endeavors and communities, such as writing and publishing papers for journals or conferences.
- knowledge of at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Java, MATLAB, Go, Python, or C/C++.
