Qualifications
Candidates for the AFE-FFE scholarship must be citizens of India.
female first-year B.E./B.Tech students, preferably in the computer science and information technology streams.
The merit rank awarded at the state or national entrance exams, or through a state-level counseling process, determines admission to professional degree programs or institutions.
Candidates must have passed their equivalent board qualifying examination after 2022, as well as their higher secondary, pre-university, intermediate, CBSE/ISC, or equivalent exams.
Financial Eligibility: A family’s annual income must not exceed Rs 3.0 lakh.
Selection Process
Students apply to the AFE – FFE Scholarship through an online application form.
Students are linked to one of FFE’s distributed network of volunteer “Facilitators” in 27 states after their eligibility has been established. In order to assess the sincerity of need and financial hardship, facilitators virtually meet with prospective students or their families.
Following the validation of their academic records and family history, students electronically submit their application for the AFE-FFE Scholarship program, along with all necessary supporting documentation.
AFE-FFE scholars who have been shortlisted must turn in the essay specified in the application.
Since students have already incurred costs when they first apply for a scholarship (1st semester of College), FFE’s scholarship program is based on a reimbursement model.
Scholarship Amount
The amount of the Amazon Free Laptop Scholarship is Rs. 2,00,000 (or Rs. 50,000 annually).
The student will receive a scholarship award of INR 50,000 per year until graduation if they are chosen as the recipient. Awards are renewable each year until a bachelor’s degree is earned, to a maximum of four years. Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrollment in an eligible course of study at an accredited four-year college or university, maintaining a good standing with their university, and continuation of the program by Amazon. A laptop will also be given to the AFE scholars so they can start learning and developing their skills early.
