Concerning the 2024 Google Winter Internship
You will design, develop, and implement next-generation consumer hardware as an intern in hardware engineering. The chips (SoCs and ASICs) produced by Google’s Consumer Hardware Silicon division (gChips) are tailored for use in consumer electronics bearing the Google brand. You will investigate solutions to a range of engineering problems as a member of a multidisciplinary team by applying your creativity and a wide range of engineering knowledge.

Whether developing form factors, enhancing interaction techniques, or discovering new ways to perceive and capture the world around us.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar technical discipline is currently being pursued.
familiarity with computer hardware architecture and design concepts.
knowledge of electrical or hardware engineering gained via employment, internships, or side projects.
Proficiency in English communication is necessary to engage in technical discussions.
Experience in SoC/ASIC Design, Design Verification, Physical Design, and Design for Testability are preferred qualifications.
familiarity with System Verilog or Verilog/HDL coding.
familiarity with a scripting language, such as Python, TCL, or Perl.
familiarity with low power reduction techniques or EDA tools and methodology (e.g., Lint, CDC, Synthesis, Formal Equivalence).
the capacity to work six months outside of the academic year.
Function and Accountability
Develop chips with optimized power and performance in collaboration with the team.
Participate in chip design, simulation, and silicon implementation.
Work together to automate design flows with both local and remote teams.
