Concerning IIT Goa
The Indian Institute of Technology Located in Goa, Goa (IIT Goa) is a self-governing public university. The new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Goa began operations in July 2016 on a temporary campus housed at Goa Engineering College (GEC), following the Central government’s 2014 allocation of an IIT to Goa. The campus is situated in Goa’s Farmagudi.At the moment, it provides BTech, MTech, and PhD programs in a number of core and non-core fields, with a focus on electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, and mathematics and computing.
In order to make an impact on society, the environment, and global challenges, IIT Goa aspires to be a one-of-a-kind university that provides cutting edge science and technology education, research, and training.
IIT Goa is currently housed and operating in the Goa Engineering College (GEC) Campus, which is situated in Farmagudi, Goa, on a temporary basis. The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD) has approved the Goa Government’s selection of land for a permanent campus, which is situated on approximately 320 acres in the Sattari sub district of North Goa’s Guleli village panchayat.
According to the MHRD, IIT Goa is only expected to operate out of the temporary campus for the first three years before moving to its permanent location by the fourth year.
IIT Goa’s mission is to educate students and offer them a one-of-a-kind learning experience so they can become responsible leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who will be key players in the sustainable development of Goa and the country at large.
The campus is temporary and is situated in Farmagudi, Ponda, about 29 km southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa. The state of Goa is well-connected to other regions of the nation via air, rail, and road.
Concerning the Summer Internships at IIT Goa
Beginning on May 15 and lasting through July 14th, we will be housing summer interns. If you are chosen, you can work with your mentor faculty to negotiate the precise dates. A legitimate certificate from your parent institution must be submitted when you join.
During the planned term, the interns must be available on campus. You are welcome to use the available mess and hostel accommodations.
Allowance
The candidate will receive a monthly stipend of $5,000 for positions in Track A. A two-week hostel fee of Rs. 1000/-is expected of you.
