What we provide
Through our internship program, recent graduates and students can obtain real-world work experience.
• Length: An internship typically lasts anywhere from six to twenty-six weeks. Part-time and full-time internships are both possible.
• Expenses we pay for: Interns receive a monthly stipend from UNICEF. Depending on funding availability, a one-time lump sum payment may also be made to help with travel and visa expenses.
• Visa: UNICEF will submit pertinent supporting documentation for our visa applications if needed.
Educational Qualifications
If your profile satisfies these requirements, it might be a good fit:
• Must be at least eighteen.
• Currently enrolled in a graduate, undergraduate, or doctoral program, or recently graduated within the last 24 months.
• Fluent in English, French, or Spanish, the three working languages of UNICEF. It might also be necessary for you to be fluent in the working language of the office where you are applying.
• Do not have any relatives in your reporting line of authority or any immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, etc.) who are employed by UNICEF?
• Perform well academically and are driven.
• Any professional experience you have that is pertinent to the position you are applying for will be given extra weight.
